About Lily
Lily is a coffee aficionado and certified aromatherapist based in Hong Kong. She teaches therapy classes for local and international organizations of different sizes. Having spent 15 years in the U.S. for education and as a Systems Engineer in a public IT company in Silicon Valley in California, Lily has relocated to Hong Kong for her aging parents.
Besotted with coffee and plants, in 2015, she embarked on her specialty coffee journey through self-exploring and formal education. She has gained her Diploma of Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) subsequently. Since then, Lily started offering coffee classes to promote specialty coffee and has been collaborating with coffee farmers in Bali.
In early 2020s, Lily has been certified as an Aromatherapist. The study of aromatherapy was not on her agenda originally, but her sensitivity in scents, love of plants, and early experience with essential oils in her parents’ business have married her to this specialty. Her knowledge in aromatherapy has been helping people around with their sleeping and headache issues.
Lily is now able to employ her creativity, knowledge and experience in coffee and aromatherapy together to innovate various therapy classes for her clients, to share the health benefits of drinking good coffee and the holistic therapeutic approach of applying aromatherapy for better health and mental wellbeing.
Lily has been columnist for Ming Pao Newspaper in Canada sharing her love and knowledge in coffee, spices and cooking since 2018.
